Application Process

“OYFF provides a variety of ways for birth mothers to participate in our programs. Take a look at what is available in the way of support and think about how that could work for you. Often, the most important step you take is the First Step, which in this case is to complete an application. The easiest way is to click on our online link below. “

To Apply:
Once an application is submitted to OYFF, birth mothers have the choice of participating in any of the following:
  1. Join OYFF mailing list: Get updates about the organization and upcoming events and activities.
  2. Peer Support Program:  Participate in birth mother support groups, attend trainings and educational events designed especially for birth mothers, attend social activities or attend a weekend retreat.
  3. Mentor/Coach Program:   Get connected with someone who will assist in researching educational and/or vocational programs and provide support along the way.
  4. Scholarships:  Apply for an educational scholarship or a scholarship for professional counseling services

Have Your Ever Met Another Birth Mother?
Any woman who has placed a child for adoption can be part of the Foundations’ peer support network.  The Foundation will provide informal opportunities for birth mothes to connect with peers for networking, inspiration, and support.

We will host gatherings for birth mothers that provide an opportunity for them to connect with others who share their experiences as birth mothers.”

Birth Mother’s and OYFF

"When I am studying for finals, OYFF gives me an extra boost. I'm not just trying to get a good grade to keep my GPA up. Knowing that I have the support of OYFF as well as other birth moms gives me the energy to read that extra chapter or take that extra credit assignment. I want to make OYFF proud, and maybe someday inspire another birth mom to complete their education."
